NCAA Currently Negotiating Settlement with Plaintiffs in Personal Injury Cases

A statement issued by the Medical Monitoring MDL on November 30, 2016:

Indicated that plaintiffs Adrian Arrington, Derek Owens, Angela Palacios, Kyle Solomon, Ray Hudson, Christopher Powell, and Anthony Nichols are in negotiations with the NCAA to settle their personal injury claims that were asserted in the Medical Monitoring MDL, but were not part of the Second Amended Settlement.

The court announced that the parties have until March 3, 2017 to reach a settlement.  The court further stated that if a settlement could not be reached as to these personal injury claims by March 3, 2016, those plaintiffs will be required to file new complaints in the Personal Injury MDL by March 17, 2016.
